I wish i was as poised and elegant as goldie hawn in this vogue picture.

I wish my boyfriend would dress like me, like this couplr from chictopia. but then again, i’m kinda glad he doesn’t…!

I wish i were one of those people who tumble out of bed in the morning and are able to tame their unwashed hair back into an elegant style like this (i know they exist, i’ve seen them in films! think audrey hepburn in breakfast at tiffany’s)

 

i wish i had this pepe dress. i also wish i was brave enough to wear it.

i’ve been so busy lately, studying for exams/ looking for job/ shopping and tons of other boring, time consuming things.

on the plus side, look what i’m knitting!

i’m a really slow knitter so it might be finished in time for winter

charmed

I absolutely love charm bracelets. always have. the idea of having tangible memories on your wrist, to me, is amazing.  the bigger, gaudier and more obscure the charms the better! i have lots, but these are my two favourite.

the first is one my boyfriend got me for my birthday recently. it only have two charms so far, a teddy bear and a duck. it’s sterling silver and i really like it.

but this is my favourite one. it was my mom’s when she was a teenager and my uncle and my father bought all the charms. if you look, it documents so much: a turtle with her birthstone for her birthday, an engagment ring for when my dad proposed, a bottle of champagne for when they got married, a teapot for when they moved in together and a pram for when she got pregnant. she gave it to me a few months ago and i treasure it.

this is me getting ready for a ball i went to with my boyfriend last year. i absolutelyloved my dress but i keep getting an urge to wear it, like around the house or down the shops :O

 haven’t looked at sewing machine since…

…

i want to be one of those amazingly elegant women who exudes poise in the way she dresses.

But if i tried that i know i’d just look like i invaded my childhood dress up box! i guess it’d work if you funked it up a bit….

but to be honest i’m not brave enough:C i wish i was.

buttons

got two ebay orders in the post today. one was a skirt that was a complete i,pulse buy and doesn’t fit me! Gah! that’s never happened before…

i absolutely love my other purchase of twelve vintage buttons, they are darling:D

Sewing machine has given up again:(

so to cheer myself up i went shopping with my friend in town. i didn’t get much since i’m pretty much broke, but i did pick up lots of cool jewellry, a scarf, two tops and my new favourite belt…. camera isn’t working at the mo (what’s wong with my stuff?! everything keeps breaking!) but i’ll put up pictures of my cool locket some other time.

all in all it was a pretty good day…

I’m really bad at thinking of titles.

I fixed my sewing machine today! yeh….

And while i’m at it i think i’ll knit a brooch with the buttons i ordered from ebay the other day.
